Steve & Brian:
Yes indeed it was Bill Scales that ate the Crawfish or Crayfish gills which ever way you prefer to say it.... I think that is how he got the temporary nickname of 'Bill Gill'.....
It was 7th grade Biology with Jim O'leary. But what I remember from class that was more ridiculous than that was O'leary trying to get us to learn 'bird calls' and then grade us on it.....
I would have to say some of the best 'remember when' stories came out at 'Senior Banquet' ... As I recall Roger Whitley has quite a long list of them. Some were downright hilarious and others cut to the quick.... I wonder if he ever kept that list so that it could get published again... Jane (Leveille) Gay - 08-06-2004
Great website and so nice to see what everyone is doing. I wish I could be at the reunion and see everybody. Can't believe how fast 20 years goes by. Would be wonderful to hear from everyone. I am working at the University of Michigan and enjoying raising my 3 children. Quit smoking over a month ago and hoping to stay that way. Take care everyone and Have a great time...maybe next time I'll be there.

Hey great web site... My brothers tell me I'm being looked for... Living out in Webberville, just west of Howell, with my wife Monica and two kids Kaylee (4 in Aug.) and Riley (13 months going on 4yrs). Working for Delphi and driving to Dearborn everyday. Oh, and tell Brian Vertz that was Bill Scales in 8th grade Biology class that ate the crawfish gills.
See you there,
Steve ;) Judy Degenfelder (Piccione) - 04-22-2004
Awesome website! It's been great looking back at all of our high school pictures and remembering all the fun times we had. I didn't move that far from home. I live in Rochester Michigan with my husband and our two children Nathan (15) and Emily (12). I can't wait to 'catch-up' with everyone at the reunion. Randy Redmond - 04-21-2004
Excellent website! Hats off to who ever made it happen. Looking forward to seeing some old friends, and having a drink or two? My family should be at horse show for the weekend of reunion, so looking for friends that want to go out after the reunion? See you there.

Seeing this web site brought back good memories. My own personal 'remember whens':
- Remember when we had to learn to 'hustle' in 7th grade gym class?
- Remember when JW Connection covered Rush at the middle school dances?
- Remember when everyone carried plastic combs in the back pocket of their designer jeans?
- Remember when we got summer detention for sneaking out of the chemistry seminar to catch the first showing of 'The Return of the Jedi'?
- Remember when someone ate a piece of an embalmed crayfish in 9th grade biology?
- Remember when Miss Quitenan, the student teacher, taught us sign language in Mrs. Swartz's 3rd grade class (I think)?
- Remember 'I'm OK, You're OK'?
- Remember the Carter-Ford debate in 5th grade?
- Remember playing dodgeball in gym class at Union School?
- Remember 'Field Day' behind Houghton School in the spring? Rebecca (Becky) Trout (Murray) - 04-01-2004

I hope that everyone is doing well 20 years later. As with all of you, I can't believe it has been that long. I still feel like a college student until I am around them. I am been married for over 13 years and have 3 children, 9,5,2. I still live in Saline. and we have a business in Ann Arbor called Original 60's sub and pizza shop. I hope all of you in the area have eaten there and loved it. My husband Brian is there all the time. Stop in and have some good food and say hello. See you all at the reunion.
